After working as an instructor to skincare students, teaching the proper technique for skin procedures and beauty treatments, I felt it was time to branch out for myself and return to something that has always been the most rewarding for me: servicing the public. Before becoming a licensed esthetician and spa owner, I owned and operated an in-home child daycare. It is not only in my training, but in my nature to be provide the most caring, personal, and nurturing services for those who come to me as clients. 

In addition, I fully understand the toll that stress can take on one’s body or the problems one’s own environment can cause on his/her face and skin. That’s why my approach to treating my clients has always been to customize treatment sessions according to the client’s personal needs. Each session is determined only after I’ve discussed with the client his/her questions and concerns and we agree on common skin or beauty goals.

Hi, my name is Susan and I feel very blessed to be a part of this awesome group that we have working here at Vanessa Ann Day Spa & Salon.  My passion is being a hairdresser.  What I love most about it is that I get to help bring out the beauty in each person that sits in my chair… a beauty that each person already has on the surface and inside themselves. I am so thankful for my wonderful clients. I truly love coming to work to laugh and enjoy each and every one of them.

Hi, I am Kathy and I have been providing professional hair care experiences to clients in the Hamden area for over 30 years. I am experienced in color, cutting, hair styling, curling, and blow drying. I put my heart and soul into the care I give to all my clients because I appreciate them so much and I pride myself on providing the best customer service to anyone that steps through our door.

Hi, I’m Jackie and I’ve been doing hair for over four decades! I owned my own salon, Universal Haircuts, for 15 of those 41 years and still have many of my longtime customers. I love to create a style and cutting is my specialty. I enjoy seeing the gratification from my clients when they just simply LOVE their hair. When they’re happy, I’m happy!
